Spiral Reset: Five-Minute Regulation Audio
===
[00:00:00] Welcome to the Raw Regulation on the Regulated Life. The show where we get underneath the surface of why you feel, the way you feel, and give you real body-based tools to change it at the root. I'm Erica, founder of Mind Fusion Transformations, and this is where nervous system science meets real life.
We wrap up the toolkit this week with the tool I reach for first. A five minute guided reset that weaves everything together. Let me show you what it can do All week. We've been building your regulation toolkit, one somatic tool at a time. The voo sound, the butterfly hug, the 5 4, 3, 2, 1 sensory reset.
Each one is a standalone interrupt. Each one works. Each one is a layer. Today I wanna show you what it looks like, and it feels like when all of those layers come together in five minutes with nothing but [00:01:00] your breath and your body, and a voice to follow. This is a spiral, reset audio, and today I'm walking you through a live demo so you can feel what it does before you ever hit download. So let's go.
Lemme tell you why this audio exists, because it came from a very specific need.
Most regulation tools can ask you to remember them in the moment you need them the most, which sounds reasonable until you're actually in the spiral. Because the spiral doesn't announce itself politely and give you time to remember your toolkit.
It activates fast. It hijacks the thinking brain, and suddenly the tools, you know, intellectually you feel completely out of reach. The spiral reset audio removes that barrier entirely. You don't have to remember what to do. You don't have to choose which tool. You don't have to lead yourself through anything. You just press play. And for [00:02:00] five minutes, your nervous system gets guided, step by step, layer by layer from the red zone activation, back towards the green zone regulation. The voo sound, body scanning, somatic anchoring, breath pacing. All of it woven together in a sequence designed to move through the nervous system, the way the nervous system actually works. From the body up, not from the mind down.
I built this audio specifically for the moments when regulation feels impossible, when you need something to hold onto and there's no one available to hold it with you. When it's 2:00 AM and the spiral is loud and you just need something that works.
It's your somatic first aid kit and it's free. But before you go grab it, I want you to feel it first, because the best way to trust a tool is to experience it. [00:03:00] So let's do a version of it together right now.
Find a comfortable position seated or lying down whatever feels right for your body right now. Let your eyes close or soften your gaze towards the floor. Take a moment to just arrive. You don't have to do anything yet. Just notice. That you're here, that you showed up for this, that your body is breathing and it has been this whole time without you asking it to. Take one slow breath in through your nose, feel your belly, feel your chest, and on the exhale, let your jaw go soft. Let your shoulders drop just a [00:04:00] half inch.
You don't have to force it. Just invite it. Inhale and exhale.
Now place one hand gently on your chest. Feel the rise and fall. Feel the warmth of your own hand against your own body. The simple contact hand to heart tells your nervous system that someone is here, that someone is paying attention, that someone is present. That someone is you, and that matters. On your next exhale, if you're somewhere you can make a little sound, let out a [00:05:00] soft low V. Just once, feel it vibrate under your hand, feel it move through your chest. Hmm.
Now I want you to take a slow scan of your body, starting at the top of your head and moving all the way down to your feet.
You're not fixing anything. You're not judging anything. You're just checking in. The way you check in on someone you love.
Your forehead, is it holding tension? Just notice.
Soften if you can your jaw. Let there be a little [00:06:00] space between your upper and lower teeth.
Your throat, swallow once gently and let it relax.
Your chest. Breathe into it. Let it be a little more open than it was a moment ago. Go
your belly, let it be soft. Let it move freely with your breath.
Your hands, unclench them open your palms.
Your legs, your feet. Feel the weight of them.
Feel the ground beneath you.[00:07:00]
Now take one full breath. The deepest one you've taken today. And on the exhale, let something go. It doesn't have to be everything, just one thing, one layer of the weight you've been carrying into this moment, and exhale.
You don't have to have it figured out. You don't have to have anyone with you. You don't have to be further along than you are. You just have to be here. In here, right now, it's safe.
When you're ready, [00:08:00] gently open your eyes. Take a breath
and notice.
That warmth in your chest,
the slower breath that came on its own without you asking for it,
the slight softening in your face, your hands, your shoulders, that's not relaxation,
that's not distraction.
That's your parasympathetic nervous system coming back online.
That's your body's healing mode, activating the mold where cortisol drops, where T cell function restores, where inflammation cools, and your body can actually do the repair work it's been waiting to do. And you did that in under five minutes [00:09:00] alone with nothing but your breath.
In your body in a voice to follow. That's the superpower of a regulated nervous system, and that is what becomes available to you, not occasionally, not only when circumstances are perfect, but consistently, reliably on demand when you have the tools to access it.
This week you built your toolkit, the Voo sound, the butterfly hug, the 5 4 3 2 1 sensory reset, and now the Spiral Reset audio, the one that holds all the others together when you need them the most. The full audio is free at mind fusion.com/audio. Save it to your phone tonight.
Use it the next time the spiral shows up. Whether that's with someone else or entirely inside your own chest [00:10:00] at 2:00 AM. And if you're ready to take all of this deeper to learn how to bring these tools into your relationships, to understand your bunker or seeker pattern and how it's costing you.
To build a co-regulation practice that actually holds in real life. The Stop the Spiral workshop is open right now, 60 minutes, $37. The most practical investment I know of for a nervous system that is done paying the health tax. The link is in the show notes.
Thank you for spending this week with me. Thank you for showing up for your nervous system because that is an act, because that is an act of proud self-respect. Life. I'll see you Monday on the Regulated Life for our next deep dive.
