[00:00:00] Hey, love. This is raw regulation on the regulated life. Today we're talking about what your body already knows. Breathe with me, settle. Be present.
Here's what I know to be true. Your body has been trying to tell you something for a long time. And you've been really good at ignoring it, that tightness in your chest when you say yes, but mean no. Your body knows. That pit in your stomach. When someone crosses a boundary, your body knows. That exhaustion, that sleep doesn't fix.
Your body knows. We live in a world that teaches us to override our bodies, [00:01:00] to push through, to be productive, to ignore the signals and just keep going. But your body isn't your enemy. It's your wisest teacher. And it's been whispering, sometimes screaming the truth that you've been too afraid to hear. If no one else told you this lately,
you don't need to figure everything out in your head. You don't need to analyze, rationalize, or justify what your body already knows. You just need to listen. Your body speaks in sensations, not words, tightness, heaviness, fluttering, warmth, numbness. These aren't random. They're information. [00:02:00] They're your nervous system's way of saying pay attention.
Something here matters, but most of us were taught to ignore body signals to be polite. When we felt uncomfortable to stay, when we wanted to leave. To smile, when we wanted to scream, so we disconnected. We learned to live from the neck up.
To think our way through life instead of feeling our way through. And now, we're exhausted, burnt out, stuck in patterns we can't explain because we stopped listening to the body that's been holding all the answers. Somatic awareness, reconnecting with your body. Isn't about becoming overly sensitive or dramatic. It's about reclaiming your internal [00:03:00] compass, your gut instinct, your innate wisdom.
It's about trusting that your body knows what your mind hasn't caught up to yet it. Let's practice listening right now. Close your eyes if it feels safe or soften your gaze. Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it at the top.
Exhale slowly through your mouth.
Now I want you to do a body scan. Start at the top of your head and move down. Where are you holding tension? Your jaw, your shoulders, your chest, [00:04:00] your stomach. Don't try to fix it. Just notice.
Breathe into that space. Imagine your breath is soft, warm, light moving into the tightness. Inhale, direct your breath there.
Exhale, let it soften even just a little.
Now, ask your body, what are you trying to tell me? Don't force an answer. Just ask and listen. Maybe it's, I'm tired. Maybe it's, I don't feel safe. [00:05:00] Maybe it's, I need to slow down.
Maybe it's, something here isn't right. Whatever comes up, honor it. Thank your body for speaking, for trusting you enough to tell the truth. I one more deep breath in. Hold it. Out.
Your body has been carrying you this whole time, carrying your truth, carrying your wisdom, carrying everything you've been too afraid to feel. It's time to listen.
Room by room, breath by breath. See you [00:06:00] tomorrow.
