Sacred Sunday: What Would Peace Choose?
===
Erica: [00:00:00] When life feels chaotic, peace doesn’t shout—it whispers. Today, we’ll slow down and ask: What would peace choose?
When life feels chaotic, the mind reaches for control, for answers for certainty. But peace doesn't scream to be heard. Peace whispers.
And today on this sacred Sunday, I want to invite you into a gentler conversation with yourself. Not what should I do? Not what will they think? But something quieter, deeper. What would peace choose? Let's go inward and listen together. Let's make this moment a doorway back to yourself.
Welcome to the Inner Sanctuary Raw, where we strip away the polished version of healing and get real about what it takes to come home to yourself.
Welcome back to your sanctuary. Today is not about doing more. It's about listening [00:01:00] and remembering that your inner peace, your truth, already knows the way. So wherever you are, let your breath slow down, loosen your jaw, soften your shoulders, unclench, something you didn't even realize you were holding. You don't have to fix anything right now. You don't have to have all the answers. Just ask the question, what would peace choose? Let that question settle in like a gentle stone in a quiet pond.
Peace wouldn't choose perfection. Peace wouldn't choose the hustle. Peace wouldn't choose proving your worth. Peace chooses presence. Peace chooses rest. Peace chooses honesty, even when it's [00:02:00] uncomfortable. Peace walks slowly, sits fully, speaks kindly, listens deeply, but most of us weren't raised to trust peace.
We were raised to chase approval, to fear stillness, to mistake chaos for purpose. That's why this question matters. It's not passive. It's powerful. What would peace choose right now in your body, in your life? Maybe it would choose a slow morning. Maybe it would choose a loving boundary. Maybe it would choose to step outside and feel the sun on your face just for a minute.
Let yourself be curious. Let yourself be surprised by what arises.
Let's ask your body. Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly. Close your eyes, if you can. [00:03:00] Take a slow, deep inhale through your nose, hold it for two gentle counts and exhale softly through your mouth. Again, inhale ease,
exhale urgency. Let your breath be your anchor.
Now ask yourself without trying to force an answer, if peace were to choosing for me, what would it say yes to?
What would it say no to?
And if you don't hear anything yet, that's okay. Just asking the question. Is the [00:04:00] practice. Allow the wisdom of peace to rise in its own time?
Let peace be your guide today. Not your fear. Not your old patterns. Not your calendar or your to-do list. Let peace choose. And notice gently what shifts. You don't have to earn peace. You just have to stop abandoning it. Thank you for letting me share this sacred pause with you. If this episode spoke to your heart, share it with someone who needs a little more peace today.
You don’t have to fight for peace—you only have to stop abandoning it. Let it guide your next step, and notice the shift it brings.
